ABOUT

As most of you reading this will have come to my page via my gun and ammo reviews, articles, and searches. You will also see I offer online courses in several subjects and have other things listed on my webpage. Common sense would lead one to ask “how is a guy that shoots and reviews guns and ammo for a living qualified to teach these subjects?”
Before COVID and changes in education, I had a VERY different career path:

• I earned both my bachelor of science in nursing and my master of science in nursing from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. I earned my EdS in 2018 in Leadership and Education from Doane University. I was a registered nurse and was formerly a Lieutenant in the United States Navy Reserve where I served as a training officer and an Acute Adult Nurse Practitioner.
• I was a Professor and taught leadership and pathophysiology at Doane University for the RN-to-BSN program. As a nurse, I worked in the ICU and also did Hemodialysis.
• I began teaching at the age of 21, teaching Human Anatomy Labs as an undergraduate while in nursing school at the University of Nebraska. I have taught at several colleges and Universities in Nebraska teaching: pharmacology, pathophysiology, human anatomy and physiology, basic medical/surgical nursing, and leadership courses.
• I was the Executive Director for the Southeast Nebraska Area Health Education Center for five years where I presented to thousands of K12 and college students on academic success and study skills and worked with healthcare professionals providing continuing education.
• I authored The Keys To Success: Unlocking College Achievement, Essentials of Anatomy and Physiology Study Guide, and Essentials of Anatomy and Physiology: Workbook and Study Guide as well as reviewing textbooks, lab manuals, and exam questions for Elsevier and Pearson.
